ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 are concerned with the way an organisation goes about its work. Furnished Homes now have a Management System from which we work from, to help us as we grow, to stay consistent and competitive. Large organisation’s could not function well without a Management System.

ISO 9001 - Quality Management

Quality refers to all the features of a product or service required by the customer.

Quality management means what the company does:

•        Consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements

•        Assess and minimise risk to the business

•        Achieve continual improvement with the company’s performance thus enhancing customer satisfaction

ISO 14001 - Environmental Management

What the company does:

•        Minimise harmful effects on the environment caused by its activities

•        Conform to applicable regulatory requirements

•        Achieve continual improvement of its environmental performance

Plan – Do – Check – Act - Cycle

Plan

•        Establish the objectives of the system and its processes

•        Establish the resources needed to deliver results in accordance with customers’ requirements and the organisation’s policies

•        Identify and address risks and opportunities

Do

•        Implement what was planned

Check

•        Monitor and (where applicable) measure processes and the resulting products and services against policies, objectives, requirements and planned activities, and report the results (e.g. by internal audit)

•        Take actions to improve performance - as necessary
